Dunsmuir Wedding Service Details
PAYMENTS

A minimum deposit of $1,200 is required to hold your date.
- A minimum-security deposit of $700 is required (refundable
30 days after the event if no extra charges are incurred).
- When the actual number of guests exceeds the contracted
number by more than 10 people, clients will be billed
at the next higher rate.
- Prices subject to change without notice
INSURANCE
- The week before the event, Renter shall provide DHGI
a certificate of Insurance naming DHGI and the City of
Oakland as additional named insureds on the Renter's General
Liability Insurance policy.
PREP/OVERTIME
- Charges are $300 per hour. Arrival and departure times
agreed to in the contract must be observed.
- Event organizer or wedding party, caterers, florists,
etc. will not be allowed on the estate before the stated
agreed-upon time.
- A minimum of $100 set-up/breakdown fee is required for
a third location, depending on the amount of equipment
and labor needed.
EQUIPMENT
- All equipment is to be rented through the Dunsmuir
House and Gardens.
CATERING
- Only caterers from Dunsmuir's exclusive list will be
allowed.

- Guests caterers can only be used if it is a religious
or ethic situation. Outside use fee is $800.
OTHER SERVICES

A
one-hour wedding rehearsal is included
- Mansion photos are $200 per hour in the foyer and parlour
for the wedding party only.
- Dressing room facility is included. There are no dressing
rooms in the mansion.
- Mansion ceremony in the foyer is available for up to
75 guests (20 seated). The fee is $1,200.
DISCOUNTS
- Non-peak season: A 10% discount will be offered for
events during the months of February, March and April.
- Oakland residents will be granted a 5% discount on
all wedding fees.
