Dunsmuir Historic Estate Ground Rules

Pets
As a City of Oakland designated park, the Dunsmuir House grounds is a posted No Dogs area. The only personal animals allowed on the grounds are Service Dogs when accompanied by their owners.

Open Flames and Smoking
Due to the high fire risk, no barbecues or open fires are allowed. Anyone found with an uncovered fire will be asked to leave the premises, and may be cited by the Fire Marshall. Dunsmuir is also a non-smoking facility by City of Oakland ordinance.

Camping
Dunsmuir Historic estate is a public park, and overnight camping is not permitted. Only in an exceptional circumstance will a permit be issued for an overnight presence on the grounds. Please apply for permits in advance. Offsite camping is available at Chabot Campground (ten minutes from Dunsmuir), by reservation.

Security
Participants are solely responsible for their items while on the property.
